Postpartum Care & more

About me

I'M A WOMAN, MOTHER, DAUGHTER, SISTER, AND A FRIEND

Welcome, I’m Cari! I was born and raised in Brazil, I have had many wonderful adventures around the world, and am grateful to call Vancouver home for the past 10 years. I am compassionate and nonjudgmental, practical, enthusiastic and not afraid of challenges. I have a passion for newborn babies and also have a special place in my heart for doggies and kitties too.

My introduction to motherhood and to doulas began before my own pregnancies through my doula and close friend Fabiana. A whole new world opened up to me as she shared her experiences of pregnancy, childbirth, and her postpartum journey with me. Soon after, it was my turn. With Fabiana at my side, I had a home birth with the support of my partner and my sister. They were my first support prenatal and postpartum network.

Services

I primarily work in the background to support the bonding, healing and proper rest for the mother, baby and family. Baby feeding, baby care support, nutrition, meal preparation, and other services provided.

The primary purpose of night support is to ensure you and your family get the rest and recovery needed. I provide overnight baby care while supporting all of your choices.

Need to get out of the house with a newborn and have no company?
I will support you while accompanying you to your doctor or midwife appointments, treatment sessions, passport application, and much.

Cari brought a delicious soup that nourished and warmed my heart and my home. She changed the sheets and folded clothes that had been in the dryer for more than a day.
She was the friendly presence who held my hand and told me it was okay to cry while the milk dripped into the collector cup. She reminded me that I needed to feel comfortable in the role of breastfeeding/mothering, and I should always ask for help. Thanks Cari, for everything!
